The 2025 PCI 25: No. 24. Heirloom Traditions Paint

24. Heirloom Traditions Paint
Taylorsville, KY
CEO & Founder: Paula Blankenship
2024 Coatings Sales: $30 million
Heirloom Traditions Paint was founded in 2013 in Paula Blankenship's kitchen, originally created as a means to keep her teenage son, Braden, occupied after school. Blankenship was a busy commercial interior designer traveling to New York City to work on large-scale commercial design projects in the greater New York area. She took her desire to revamp her unloved pieces of furniture around her home to task and developed her own paint formula that would later become Heirloom Traditions Paint. She created a unique, all-in-one paint formula that would help take the guesswork and confusion out of painting. The formula contains everything in one can, and she also designed and developed a limited color palette of 36 on-trend colors, along with prep and painting tools that allow users of any skill level to use the products successfully without hiring professionals. The company is women-owned and an ESOP.
Notes: In March 2024, Paula Blankenship acquired Kelley Technical Coatings, now branded as CAMCOAT, expanding Heirloom Traditions Paint’s portfolio into pool, deck and safety coatings.
In June 2024, founder Paula Blankenship appeared on PCI’s Coat It! podcast to discuss the company’s growth, product innovation and her journey as a woman-owned coatings manufacturer.
Parent Company: Lakestone Enterprises.
