2024 Coatings Sales: $1.0-1.05 billion (A PCI estimate)
Benjamin Moore, a Berkshire Hathaway company, was founded in 1883 and remains one of the world’s leading paint, color and coatings brands. A manufacturer of premium-quality residential and commercial coatings, Benjamin Moore maintains a relentless commitment to innovation and sustainable manufacturing practices. The portfolio spans the brand’s flagship paint lines, including Aura®, Regal® Select, Ben®, Ultra Spec®, Advance®, Scuff-X®, Insl-X® and more. Benjamin Moore is renowned for its more than 3,500 unmatchable colors, and its design tools and expertise for consumers and professionals alike. Benjamin Moore products are available exclusively from more than 8,500 locally owned and operated paint, decorating and hardware retailers throughout the United States, Canada and 74 other countries globally.
Benjamin Moore does not publicly disclose its individual revenue. However, the 2024 Berkshire Hathaway annual report and SEC filing indicate the company is part of the conglomerate’s “Manufacturing” segment under “Building Products,” which reported total 2024 revenues of $24.62 billion. The report notes a year-over-year decline in this segment, with decreases specifically attributed to Benjamin Moore, Johns Manville and Shaw. Based on these disclosures and historical estimates, Benjamin Moore’s 2024 coatings sales are estimated by PCI to be in the range of $1.0 billion to $1.05 billion, down slightly from the previously estimated $1.1 billion in 2023.
